Yesterday I lost my granfather. 

I just remember him like someone very interesting and enigmatic, very far from the unhealthy man I’ve seen in these last days.

Goodbye Granpa Gino, thank you for having taken my hand one last time.

Sometimes we walk across bad moments, everyone, I mean.

But then today I was looking at this picture, with me and my father smiling on a boat, in 2004 or something like that, and then I’m… nothing, just smiling too, again.

Frida.

Frida Kahlo is for sure one of the most inflated characters of the past century. By the way, I think that in a world full of people became pop icons (from Che Guevara to Marilyn Monroe), Frida is always always alive, now more then ever. She contains in herself a lot of symbols I love the most: the powerful woman, the revolutionary, the queer, the autobiographic artist, the girl fighting for a better future but loving a poetic and strong tradition and past.

Camilla was my frida last week, I’m totally in love with her and her two sisters and mother. They always fight and work for life and dreams they have. The heart and the strength you can breath in that house is absolutely incredible.
